André Cardoso Campello is a psychiatrist and psychotherapist trained at the Institute of Psychiatry of the Hospital das Clínicas (FMUSP), where he currently serves in the Psychotic Disorders Ward and coordinates the General Didactic Outpatient Clinic. In these roles, he supervises residents in the management of severe mental disorders and the long-term care of complex cases, such as schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, depression, and anxiety. His academic interests lie in understanding the evolution of current psychiatric diagnoses and treatments, how they intersect with social and personal dimensions, and how they can be tailored to the unique needs of each patient.
